A tractor-trailer crash on Route 101 left the driver with minor injuries and the vehicle a total loss.
On Monday, Aug. 22, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Peterborough Police and Peterborough Fire and Rescue responded to a tractor-trailer crash near Field Road. The operator of vehicle from Sacramento-based Warach Trans Inc. was driving on Route 101 before losing control of the vehicle and skidding off the road toward the treeline. After colliding with a tree, the driver managed to come to a complete stop.
The unidentified driver sustained minor injuries from the crash and refused to be transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The vehicle sustained significant damage to the front end, including a smashed hood that was ripped off during the crash, a shattered windshield and flat tires. Due to the severe damage, the tractor-trailer was a total loss.
Kent’s Towing and Recovery in Milford arrived on scene shortly the crash to remove the cab. Peterborough first-responders remained on scene until the truck was removed by Kent’s.
