The Amos Fortune Forum 2026 summer speaker series will feature author and art historian Christine Guth on Friday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m.

Guth will present “Joseph Lindon Smith: Dublin’s Peripatetic Painter,” detailing the life and work of the Monadnock Artists’ Colony member who traveled internationally to paint historical monuments, including watercolors created during visits to Japan in 1901 and 1910. Guth holds a doctorate in Japanese art history from Harvard University and has taught at Princeton, Harvard, and the Royal College of Art.
