The Jaffrey Civic Center will host “Drawing Portraits,” a multi-week drawing class instructed by Marylise Reilly.

Sessions take place on Fridays, July 10, 17, and 24. The program is designed to accommodate beginners and more advanced artists.

The class focuses on the fundamentals of drawing faces and the human figure using universal rules of proportion. Through demonstrations and individual feedback, participants will learn to build facial structure, apply shading and texture with graphite or charcoal, and create lifelike portraits.

The Jaffrey Civic Center is located at 40 Main Street in Jaffrey. Registration and further details regarding this and other events can be found on the center’s website at www.jaffreyciviccenter.com.
