Costumes and candy were out in full force at Bennington’s annual Haunted Hayride and trunk-or-treat at the town transfer station on Saturday. The event, put on by the Bennington Recreation Department, was supported by Witches and Whimsy, Alberto’s Italian Restaurant, Dunkin’ Donuts of Antrim, the Bennington Highway Department, Bennington Fire and Rescue and the Bennington Police Department.

“We are so grateful to all our volunteers as always for their hard work in making this event a success again this year,” said organizer Melissa Clark, of the Bennington Recreation Department.
