More than 100 people gathered Sunday, June 14, at the intersection of Routes 101 and 202 in Peterborough to mark Flag Day and President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

Participants stood on all four corners of the intersection holding American flags and signs bearing messages they described as birthday wishes for Trump. The gathering served as an alternative to what organizers characterized as the president’s preferred birthday celebration.

Messages on signs included “Tax the Ultra-rich,” “Turn Files Into Trials,” “Justice for Renee and Alex,” and “Love Thy Neighbor.”
