Elementary and middle school students across the Monadnock Region will get an inside look at artificial intelligence when MilliporeSigmaโ€™s Curiosity Cube mobile science lab arrives Oct. 3 through 9.

The Curiosity Cube, a 22-by-10-foot solar-powered lab, travels the U.S. offering interactive experiments designed to spark interest in STEM careers. At each stop, volunteers from MilliporeSigmaโ€™s Jaffrey facility, including scientists and staff, will guide students through activities using Ozobots, LiteBrite, and other tools to demonstrate how AI works.

The week begins Oct. 3 at the Jaffrey Public Library, 38 Main St. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Cube will be open to Jaffrey Grade School students, and from 3 to 5 p.m. it will be open to the public. Later stops include Milford Middle School on Oct. 6 and 7, Great Brook School in Antrim on Oct. 8, and Keene Middle School on Oct. 9.

The program highlights the growing demand for STEM careers. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM jobs are projected to grow 10% between 2023 and 2033, compared to 3.6% for non-STEM occupations.

In addition to hands-on experiments, students can continue exploring through the free Curiosity Cube app at TheCuriosityCube.com.
