Rindge Fire & EMS will host a hands-on Citizens Academy on Saturday, Sept. 12, offering community members a firsthand look into local firefighting and emergency medical operations.
The one-day program begins at 7 a.m. at the Rindge Fire Department, located at 150 Main St. Designed to simulate the physical and technical demands of first responders, the event requires no prior experience and is open to all local residents.
Participants will suit up in protective turnout gear, wear self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA), and practice firefighting techniques in controlled settings. The schedule also includes demonstrations of emergency medical care equipment and interactive training alongside department personnel.
