The Friends of the Hancock Town Library will be hosting their annual book sale during Hancock’s Old Home Days Aug. 18 to 20 at the library, 25 Main St.

Thousands of books, DVDs and CDs will be on sale throughout the weekend. A special room is set aside for children’s books. Books are $2 for hardbacks, $1 for trade paperbacks and 50 cents for mass-market paperbacks. Special items may be priced higher. The book sale will continue during the following week during library hours.

Friday, Aug. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. is the early bird sale. The sale is free to all who are already members of the Friends of the Hancock Town Library, and $10 for all others. No electronic devices permitted for book dealers.

Entry is free Saturday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, Aug. 20, books are $5 per bag from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bag sale continues Aug. 21 from 2 to 6 p.m., Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 23 from 2 to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 24, all items are free from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
