Damon Reyna

Nashua, NH – Damon Reyna, born January 1, 1973, died in Nashua, NH unexpectedly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on December 29, 2025. He deeply loved his wife, Brenda Spinney Reyna and his stepdaughter, Emerald Mundt, from Bucksport, Maine and his sons Cameron and Chase Reyna who both live in Dover, NH. He is also survived by other beloved family members including his brothers Braden Reyna from Montgomery, Alabama and Zander Reyna from Hastings-On-Hudson, NY; his father Stephen Reyna and stepmother, Nina Schiller Reyna of New York City; mother Gail Hoar of Wilton, NH; and aunts and uncles Susan Reyna from Tallahassee, Florida; Nancy and Todd Cochran from Missoula, Montana; Jennifer Stark from Peru, Massachusetts; Susie Nargi and Derek Hoar from Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Anne and Patrick Reyna from Falmouth England; and Christopher Reyna from Santa Monica, California; along with cousins and friends too numerous to mention. He was pre-deceased by his stepfather, Andy Hoar; aunt, Alix Reyna and uncle, Charles Stickles.

One happy event for Damon took place a few years ago when he located four siblings he never met nor even knew about; three half-sisters; Debbie Fortune from Chantilly, Virginia, Shelly Long from Clifton, Virginia, Lisa Brown who lives in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and a half-brother, Lawrence (Perry) Garrett from Gainesville, Virginia. Just looking at the five of them standing together confirms their family connection.

For the first decade of his life, Damon resided with his family in Williamsburg, VA; N’Djamena, Chad; South Lebanon, Maine; Abidjan, Ivory Coast and spent many months visiting family in Azeitao, Portugal. Later his family moved to Durham, NH. He graduated from Oyster River High School and from UNH’s Thompson School where he earned a degree in Business.

He devoted the majority of his professional life to his career as a government passport specialist at the Newington, NH passport office.

Besides his children and his friendships, Damon’s passion was turning cars into award-winning, customized vehicles. He enjoyed participating in sports, especially basketball, and all the physical challenges offered at a gym. If challenged to create a piece of artwork, he found joy in pattern and design and was drawn to strong colors. When he had a chance to add another non-human member to his family, his first choice was always another cat. His last one, Eva, also misses him, along with his family and all his friends. He died far too young.
