Due to the weather conditions, the opening reception for the “Long Work For Justice” exhibition at the Dublin Community Center, 1123 Main St., has been postponed from Friday, Feb. 3, to Friday, Feb. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Long Work for Justice,” which will now be held from Feb. 10 to 26, aims to increase understanding of America’s history and the ongoing necessity to address racial justice. It was organized by artist Liz Sibley Fletcher. Artists of all races were invited to participate with artworks that express their visions about racial justice. New Hampshire artists of color were especially encouraged to participate.

“With understanding about the original and continuing wrongs done against Black, Indigenous and people of color, Americans can rise to carry out our founding ideals of liberty and justice for all,” Fletcher stated. “Art has transformative power to arouse this awareness.”

During the opening reception Feb. 10, participating artists, including Fletcher, Kathleen DeQuence Anderson, Kathleen Dustin, Daniel Andrews, Patsy Belt, Kath Allen and Martha Pitt will lead a discussion describing their visions and experiences. Responses by reception attendees will be welcomed at this moderated discussion. The exhibition will continue through Sunday, Feb. 26.
