Peterborough Garden Club will present a lecture, “Gardening Simplified: Plants and Design Solutions for Time-Pressed and Maturing Gardeners,” with By Kerry Ann Mendez, Monday, Sept. 12, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Shieling Forest State Park, Learning Center, 395 Old Street Road, Peterborough.
Job demands, hectic schedules, aging bodies and changing interests can lead to gardens that are not in balance with people’s lifestyles. This lecture provides right-sizing strategies, recommended no-fuss plant material and design tips for year-round gardens. The lecture is based on Mendez’s book, “The Right-Size Flower Garden.”
Admission is $5, cash to be collected at the door. Guests of members are welcome at no cost. Wearing masks is optional and encouraged.
