The state’s Mobile Vaccine Van is set to return to Francestown in September after visiting Francestown and Antrim in the past week after launching in July. New Hampshire had 53.8 percent of its total population vaccinated, and 61.6 of its vaccine-eligible population vaccinated as of Friday.
The NH Mobile Vaccination Clinic offers Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, and accepts walk-ins. Anyone 12 and older can get the vaccines, it’s not necessary to be a NH resident or a US citizen. The vaccines are free, and no health insurance is needed, according to fliers from the Mobile Vaccine Van.
Last Wednesday, eight people got vaccinated when the van visited Francestown, Town Administrator Jamie Pike said. Although he expected that to disappoint the eight volunteers who turned out to assist, “they were actually ecstatic,” he said, and wanted to come back to deliver second doses for the visitors who’d just received their first. Their next visit is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Francestown Town Offices on Main Street.
