Two men were seriously injured in a fall from the roof of a residence in Greenfield Monday morning. First responders estimated that the victims had fallen about 30 feet.
Greenfield first responders, including the fire and police departments, responded to the call on Knotwood Drive at around 9 a.m. After responding to the scene, EMS put out a trauma alert for severe injuries caused by the impact of the fall.
The Greenfield police department confirmed the victims were workers at the property who were working on the roof of the home when the fall occurred.
According to a press release by the Greenfield Fire Department, one man was attempting to help the other, resulting the second man also falling.
Both victims were transported to regional trauma centers, one by ambulance and one via helicopter from Monadnock Community Hospital.
The status of the men is currently unknown.
