The annual Tour de Francestown gravel grinder and road ride, a fundraiser for Francestown’s Old Meetinghouse, drew riders from across the state on Saturday morning. Participants rode either a 30-mile or 50-mile gravel route or a 40-mile road ride.
Dee Cleary, of Auburn, who was riding a pedal-assist gravel electric bike, said the race is a great way to learn new trails and roads in the state.
“Francestown is so beautiful, and this gets us out here to explore this part of the state, and it’s just really cool,” she said.
The ride included a celebratory lunch at the Town Hall lawn for returning riders.
