The New Ipswich Fire Department responded to a house fire at 90 Binney Hill Road Tuesday evening. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The fire was started in the kitchen, where emergency responders made “quick entry” and were able to knock down the fire.

All of the home’s residents were outside of the structure when the fire department responded just past 5 p.m. Upon arrival, with heavy smoke billowing from the house, the call was upgraded to a second-alarm fire. 

Other responding fire departments included Jaffrey, Greenville, Peterborough, Milford, and Ashby, Mass. Rindge covered the New Ipswich station. Additional assistance was provided by the New Ipswich police, Hillsborough Sheriffs and the Souhegan Valley Ambulance Service.
