ConVal Assistant Superintendent Ann Forrest was the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Service Award from the New Hampshire School Administrators Association.
The award, which is presented for “exemplary achievement and leadership,” was awarded to Forrest on June 28 at the NHSAA’s Annual Conference on Educational Leadership in Whitefield.
“I’m incredibly honored to have been selected for the Outstanding Service Award this year,” Forrest said. “I work with a terrific ConVal team, and we supported one another during an extremely challenging school year. I am thankful for their support and share this honor with them.”
According to the district’s press release on the award, it was created to recognize educational leaders who are not superintendents. NHSAA members choose nominees, who are then judged on a number of criteria, including their contributions to their District.
Forrest joined ConVal in 2008 as a literacy coach and was named principal of the Antirim Elementary School and Pierce School in Bennington in 2013. She has been Assistant Superintendent in 2016.
The District’s press release said that Forrest has demonstrated excellent leadership and clear vision for the District’s goals, and that her commitment to excellence has raised standards throughout the District.
“Dr. Forrest treats every student and staff member with dignity and respect, exemplifying a positive climate and creating an atmosphere that encourages others to do the same,” Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders said. “She is dedicated to the ConVal community. Her achievements are beyond ‘outstanding’; they are exceptional.”
