The New Hampshire Institute of Art has announced a call for entries for the 70th annual Members Exhibition to be shown at the Sharon Arts Center Gallery.

This exhibit celebrates the wide range of artistic styles and mediums in which members of the NHIA community excel. Artists working in all media are invited to submit up to two works, subject to size and weight restrictions — a maximum of 32 inches in any direction, including frame, or 100 pounds in weight. Giclee prints or reproductions are not allowed.

For the first time, NHIA is offering its members access to the user-friendly online resource SlideRoom.com — the standard submission process for major art exhibitions. Access is at https://nhia.slideroom.com/#/permalink/program/31964.

Artists may submit up to two professional, high-resolution 300 ppi images for the jurors to review. Images must be named using the format “first name_last name_title of work”. For example: Karen_Smith_PinkRoses.jpg.

For members who do not have high quality images of their art work or who may need additional help uploading images to SlideRoom, NHIA’s Sharon Arts Center offers free assistance. For additional information or to make an appointment, contact Melissa Gentle at 836-2550 or melissagentle@nhia.edu. This service will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis from Aug. 15 through Aug. 19.

Artists who wish to submit a work for exhibition but who are not currently an NHIA member should contact Sara Ceaser at membership@nhia.edu or 836-2143 to join or renew their membership.

The submission deadline is Sept. 1. Artists will be notified on Sept. 15 with artwork being delivered on Sept. 26.

The exhibit will open on Oct. 7 and run through Nov. 20.
