Monadnock Music will present two free classical performances as part of its ongoing Summer Village Concert series, featuring works by 19th-century composers George Onslow and Robert Schumann.

The performances are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at the Park Hill Meetinghouse in Westmoreland, and Sunday, July 26, at 4 p.m. at the Old Meeting House in Francestown. Both events are free, open to the public, and will be followed by a reception with the musicians.
The ensemble includes Monadnock Music Musical Director and cellist Rafael Popper-Keizer, violist Tanner Menees, and violinists Eunae Koh and Nathan Meltzer. The program features Onslow’s String Quartet No. 29 in D minor (1836) and Schumann’s String Quartet No. 1 in A minor (1842).
Menees, a graduate of the Colburn School and New England Conservatory, recently joined the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and regularly performs with ensemble NOVUS. Koh, a member of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, serves on the faculty of the Yellow Barn Music Festival’s Young Artists Program. Meltzer, winner of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Competition, serves as artistic director of The Green Room Ensemble.
Each performance will run approximately 75 minutes, including an intermission. Additional details are available at monadnockmusic.org.
