A basketball camp and a three-on-three tournament are both headed for New Ipswich in coming weeks.
The basketball camp, run by Dutch Stauffeneker, takes place from Aug. 1-5 at Memorial Field. The coed camp is open to anyone in grades 3-8. Grades 3-5 will have sessions in the morning from 9 a.m. to noon, and 6-8 will run in the afternoon from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $75 for the week and includes a t-shirt. On Aug. 27, New Ipswich Parks and Rec will host a three-on-three basketball fundraiser tournament. There’s a bracket for every age group , from first grade to unlimited. The games will take place at Memorial Field (or at Mascenic if the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play). Pre-registration is $40, day-of is $50.
