Trinity College junior Katie Tonyai of Jaffrey was named to the All-NESCAC Team in the 100-meter dash after her performance in the NESCAC Championship meet on April 30 at Amherst College. Tonyai, who was third in 100-meter dash in the 2015 NESCAC Championship Meet, owns Trinity’s all-time records in the indoor 55-meter dash, the outdoor 100-meter dash, the indoor and outdoor 200-meter dash, and the indoor 4×400-meter relay. She was also a 2015 All-New England honoree for her sixth-place finish in last spring’s 100-meter dash at the New England Division III Championships and collected All-New England Indoor relay honors on Trinity’s 4×400-meter foursome that placed sixth in 2014.
Tonyai is a three-time NESCAC All-Academic selection and was honored as the College’s top female junior scholar athlete (Board of Fellows Award) last week. A graduate of Conant High School, Tonyai is majoring in biology at Trinity.
