Downtown Peterborough’s newest shop, Nest – Mother Child Home, will host a grand opening on Saturday.
Kimberly Peck is bringing her children’s toy and clothing shop back to town, and she invites the community to the grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will include raffles, prizes, and an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30 pm, with Peterborough Select Board member Barbara Miller.
As with Peck’s previous children’s shop, Nest will specialize in newborn clothing and essentials, toys and activities for children, gifts for mothers, and, in a new addition, handcrafted home necessities.
“We are, in large part, defined by our homes and our families, and that is my inspiration for Nest,” said Peck. “My intention with Nest is to offer sustainably-made, high -quality products and super fun toys…”
Peck closed her previous shop, Precious Cargo, in Depot Square, in 2010 after the birth of her third child. “Over the past six years, I have missed my store and the day to day connection with the community it provided,” Peck says. “Downtown Peterborough is very vibrant and has so much to offer – I’m thrilled to be a part of it again, and to offer my customers a bright and cheerful place to shop and visit.”
Nest is located at 4 Grove St., across from the Peterborough Town Offices. For more information, call 567-7914.
