Trump is on the ballot
Donald Trump said it best: “Pretend I’m on the ballot.” Every vote for a Republican is a vote for Trump and his disastrous policies. Every action taken by Trump’s second administration could have been prevented by Congress, but the Republican majorities in the House and Senate failed to stop him.
Congress could have prevented the following actions, but chose not to: 1) Trump’s tariffs, which raise prices on all imported goods; 2) the war in Iran, which has strengthened the enemy and weakened our military, closed the Strait of Hormuz, resulted in 18 dead warriors and wounded hundreds of others, and raised the prices of gasoline and diesel above $4 and $6 respectively; 3) the DOGE rampage through the federal workforce, wasting millions and killing hundreds of thousands of USAID beneficiaries worldwide; 4) ICE occupations of American cities, resulting in deaths of citizens and the detention of thousands of hard-working tax-paying immigrants, some legal and some undocumented, who have committed no crimes; 5) the nominations of Pete Hegseth, who is degrading our military through his purges, RFK jr., who is endangering our public health through his anti-vaccination conspiracies and dismantling of agencies that oversee food safety, and Todd Blanche, who has turned the Department of Justice into Trump’s personal retribution squad; 6) Trump’s corrupt self-dealing which has netted him more than $2 billion of wealth through bribes laundered by his crypto enterprises and day-trading in stocks using inside information of his own statements and actions. The list could go on but I’m out of room.
The point is that the individual candidates do not matter; you are voting for a Republican Congress that enables Trump, or a Democratic Congress that won’t.
