The Mariposa Museum in Peterborough will host an all-ages Community Sing-Along featuring local acoustic trio Maple TreeO on Sept. 20 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lyric sheets will be provided to encourage audience participation.
Maple TreeO is a trio of local musicians who perform familiar music in unusual arrangements using flute, guitar, and bassoon to accompany their voices. David Flemming, a master flutist, and his wife, Joy, an accomplished bassoonist, have played mostly classical music together for many years, while Eric Blackmer, who plays guitar, comes from a folk music background.
Admission is free, with a suggested $10 donation at the door to support the museum’s ongoing cultural and community programming. Advance registration is not required, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
