Downtown Jaffrey is ready for the spooky season, as its streets are lined with the results of the town’s traditional scarecrow-building event this past weekend.
This year, Jaffrey’s Scarecrows on the Common event, rebranded as Fall Fest, was held under new leadership after the dissolution of Jaffrey’s former Main Street association, TEAM Jaffrey. The Jaffrey Recreation Department took over the event this year, but kept its core activities: Scarecrow building on the library lawn, vendors and food trucks on the side street, and lawn games and live music.
