The Friends of the Wapack will hold its annual meeting Oct. 17 at the Sharon Meeting House, 432 Route 123 in Sharon.

The event features guest speaker Dan Ewald, Stewardship Program Manager at the Piscataquog Land Conservancy and Board President for the Ashby Land Trust, who will present on conservation land stewardship practices and opportunities for organizational collaboration.

Optional morning activities begin with a 9 a.m. loop hike on the Beebe and Wapack Trails meeting at the Temple Mountain State Reservation parking lot on Route 101 in Peterborough. An informal bring-your-own lunch takes place at noon at the Sharon Meeting House, followed by sign-in at 12:30 p.m. The annual meeting and presentation run from 1 to 2:30 p.m., followed by refreshments.
