The Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church will celebrate the 200th anniversary of its 1826 meetinghouse on Saturday, Oct. 3, with an afternoon of live music, guided tours, historical displays, and an evening dance party. Events will take place at the church at 25 Main St. in Peterborough.
The schedule begins with drop-in guided building tours, refreshments, and historical displays from noon to 1 p.m. Live music performances follow in the afternoon, featuring organist Carol Hamilton from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; the Maple TreeO playing jazz, Celtic, and classic songs from 1:30 to 2 p.m.; classical pianist Tony Brinsdon from 2 to 2:30 p.m.; vocalist and pianist Marybeth Hallinan from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; and a sing-along concert with the PUUC Choir from 3 to 3:15 p.m. Guided tours will resume from 3:15 to 4 p.m.
The celebration concludes with a “Dancing Through the Ages” event hosted by DJ Ray Ray from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
