Following a summer hiatus, the Peterborough International Affairs Forum will resume its programming at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Mariposa Museum, 26 Main St., Peterborough.
Ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s scheduled visit to Washington, D.C., later this month, the presentation will focus on “The Future of the U.S.-China Rivalry.” Dan Grosz, a Peterborough resident and forum steering committee member with experience living and working in China and Southeast Asia, will lead the discussion on political, economic, military, and technological competition between the two nations.
The event marks the start of the forum’s fall focus on the theme “A World Disordered,” with upcoming sessions tentatively scheduled on foreign policy, American development aid, foreign alliances, and artificial intelligence. Meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Admission is free for museum members, and donations are accepted from nonmembers.
