The Peterborough Players will close their 2026 summer season with Kate Hamill’s comedy adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Emma,” running Wednesday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 23.
Directed by Artistic Director Brendon Fox, the production stars Deborah Aboaba as Emma Woodhouse and Jimmy Nicholas as Mr. Knightley. The cast also features Kevin Cristaldi, Sarah Bishop, Owen Harrison, Tom Coiner, Jennifer Barellis, Mari Vail-Golden, Téa Guarino, and Elisabeth Yancey.
Special events during the run include extended bar hours on Thursdays and Saturdays, a preshow presentation on Friday, Aug. 14, and a talkback on Sunday, Aug. 16. In partnership with Silver Scone, the Players will host a British Cream Tea on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the rehearsal barn.
