The Monadnock Community Hospital hosted the annual National Night Out event celebrating first responders and community involvement on Tuesday.
National Night Out is celebrated across the United States of the first Tuesday of August to to foster deeper connections between the community and first responders in a positive setting.
With over 1,000 participants, the night was busy with touch-a-truck vehicle tours, the Dunk-a-Cop dunk tank, K-9 demonstrations, face painting, lawn games, a police department versus fire department donut eating contest as well as a meet-and-greets with local police, fire and EMS. The Monadnock Community Hospital also provided health screenings and safety information for the crowd.
