The Peterborough Master Plan Steering Committee will host two “Walk & Talk” community events in August to gather public input for the town’s Master Plan update.
The guided walking sessions, each under one mile, aim to engage residents in discussing the character, opportunities, and challenges facing Peterborough’s village nodes. Steering Committee members and town staff will lead both events:
- North Peterborough Walk & Talk: Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m., starting and ending at the Contoocook Valley High School parking lot, 184 Hancock Road. Rain or heat date is Sunday, Aug. 16.
- West Peterborough Walk & Talk: Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., starting and ending at the Masonic Lodge parking lot, 8 Windy Row. Rain or heat date is Sunday, Aug. 23.
The upcoming sessions build on the committee’s earlier Jane Jacobs Visioning Walk and form part of an ongoing effort to bring the long-range planning process directly into local neighborhoods.
Feedback collected during the walks will help shape recommendations for growth, development, conservation, and infrastructure priorities across Peterborough. Residents of all ages and residency lengths are encouraged to attend.
