Peterborough United Methodist Church will host the Peterborough Community Day of Caring on Aug. 15, offering free goods and services to community members in need.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Union Congregational Church, located at 33 Concord St. Parking for attendees will be available nearby at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
Free offerings at the event include haircuts by professional hairstylists, a mobile clothing closet from Rise Again Outreach, a mobile food pantry, hygiene supplies, and live music performed by 3 Shades of Gray.
Organizers are seeking monetary donations to help cover remaining event expenses, including food and a required police detail for pedestrian and traffic safety. Any surplus funds will be directed to the Eastern Monadnock Housing Security Coalition.
