Way to go, New Hampshire!

I’m so proud to be living in a state that has the strength and conviction to show up in Washington, D.C., for the Great American State Fair and the 250th celebration of our country.

We may have more that divides us than unites us, but luckily it only takes one thing to draw us together. As a nation, a collection of states, it should have been our birthday celebration.

To the rest of New England: Shame on you. It doesn’t matter who is president, whether you like their politics, their personality or anything else. You should have been there to celebrate us, the united us, not the politically divided us.

“Live Free or Die” is not just a marketing slogan. I’m sure the founders of our Declaration of Independence didn’t all agree on everything, but they did agree we needed to be free of English rule.

New Hampshire, standing alone from the rest of New England, is a shining light of liberty and freedom. We don’t want to be Massachusetts or the rest of the states — we want to stand strong and proud that we are free. Let’s all make New Hampshire the shining light of New England.
