Boston jazz vibraphonist Rich Greenblatt will perform June 25 on the Hancock Common as part of the season-opening Hancock Summer Concert.
Greenblatt, a longtime Berklee College of Music professor, has performed with artists including Kurt Elling, Bill Charlap and Yoron Israel. Critics have praised his musicianship, with John Blenn of Good Times magazine describing his playing as featuring “dazzling speed and a truly magical touch.”
Greenblatt will perform with a quartet featuring Mike Effenberger on B3 organ, Chris Albertson on guitar and Brian Quinn on drums.
The free concert will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the common. In the event of rain, the performance will move to the lower level of the Hancock Meetinghouse.
The Hancock Farmers and Artisans Market will also be held on the common from 4 to 7 p.m., offering food, beverages, baked goods, local produce and crafts.
