The Monadnock Writers Group will host author, journalist and writing coach Lorraine Ash on Saturday, June 20 at the Peterborough Town Library at 9:45 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome.

Lorraine Ash works as a book editor and author coach specializing in all forms of autobiographical writing. She has penned two memoirs,ย “Life Touches Life: A Mother’s Story of Stillbirth and Healing”ย andย “Self and Soul: On Creating a Meaningful Life.”
During the pandemic, she edited the award-winningย “Corona City: Voices from an Epicenter,” an anthology of first-person writings that chronicles life in New Jersey and New York when these two states were the nation’s first COVID-19 epicenter.

Most recently, Lorraine won the General Nonfiction Category in the international 2026 Next Generation Short Story Awards for her 3,000-word memoir, โ€œEchoes of Summit Avenue.โ€ A former journalist, she studied at Fordham University and California State University, Long Beach. She lives in New Jersey.

Since 1984, the Monadnock Writersโ€™ Group has provided fellowship and support to writers in all genres and at all levels of achievement. The free monthly speaker series brings a variety of accomplished writers to Peterborough to share their experiences and expertise with members. These speakers address a range of genres โ€” fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting, journalism and more โ€” from research and planning through publishing.
