The Peterborough Players will open its 93rd season with Ken Ludwigโ€™s comedy-mystery โ€œBaskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery,โ€ beginning June 17 and running through June 28 at the theaterโ€™s Hadley Road campus.

Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyleโ€™s โ€œThe Hound of the Baskervilles,โ€ the production follows Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as they investigate the mysterious curse of the Baskerville family. Artistic Director Brendon Fox directs the play, which stars Rafael Untalan as Holmes and James Evans as Watson. Tim Hackney, Jimmy Kieffer and Olivia Gilliatt portray multiple supporting roles throughout the production.

The creative team includes set and lighting designer Steven C. Jones, sound designer Victoria Deiorio, costume designer Jennifer Parr and properties designer Emily Allinson.

Several special events will accompany the production, including a pre-show presentation on costume quick changes at 6:30 p.m. June 19, a post-show talkback with the cast and creative team following the June 21 matinee, and a cabaret following the June 26 performance. All events are free and open to the public.

โ€œBaskervilleโ€ is sponsored by RiverMead, and the Playersโ€™ 2026 season is sponsored by Microspec. Tickets are available through the box office at 603-924-7585 or at peterboroughplayers.org. The theater is located at 55 Hadley Road in Peterborough.
