The Friends of the Jaffrey Library are seeking donations of gently used books to help restock shelves for their popular book sales, which organizers say have seen strong demand from summer readers.

The Friends will accept donations Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bean Room on the libraryโ€™s main level.

Donated books should be in good condition, with no writing, tears or stains. The group is especially looking for recent fiction, including novels and mysteries, as well as newer nonfiction titles.

The Friends cannot accept magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, travel guides or books related to medical or financial advice or computers.

Proceeds from book sales support a variety of library programs and services. Book donations are accepted only on the second Saturday of each month. Organizers ask that patrons not leave books with library staff or in the libraryโ€™s outdoor book drop.
