The ConVal boys and girls track and field teams competed Monday, May 18, at the Sanborn Invitational in Kingston, a meet traditionally viewed as one of the final opportunities for athletes to qualify for the state championship meet.
Griffin Schultz led the Cougars by winning both the 100-meter dash in 11.46 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 22.98 seconds. Walter Stephens captured first place in the 400-meter run with a time of 51.31 seconds.
Jack Telofski placed second in the 300-meter hurdles in 46.14 seconds and finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.41 seconds.
On the girls side, Whitney Adair finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.38.
