More than 80 children took part in the annual New Ipswich Fishing Derby on Saturday at Cemetery Pond, taking advantage of sunny weather and a pond stocked with fish for the event.
Participants competed for prizes in several categories, including largest fish and first catch of the day.
Barrett Traffie earned the prize for the largest catch, while Milo Lambert placed second. Enzo Volpe and Aria Blackburn were the first boy and girl to register a catch, respectively, and Justin Fannon was the first participant to catch five fish.
