Ingalls Memorial Library will host a wildflower walk led by ecologist Nate Marchessault of the Harris Center on Tuesday, May 19, at 4 p.m. at the Contoocook Marsh Conservation Complex.

Participants will take a leisurely two-mile or less walk along flat trails near the Contoocook River while learning about wildflowers and other plants in the area. Organizers said participants also may spot birds and other wildlife along the way.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their curiosity and prepare for sun exposure and possible biting insects. The group will meet at the large parking lot and boat launch on County Road.

While the program is geared toward children, it is open to all ages. Organizers ask participants to RSVP through the Ingalls Memorial Library website calendar as soon as possible.
