An 80-year-old driver was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on Wilton Road Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded around 1:16 p.m. to a report of a vehicle on its side. Police Chief Keith Hervieux said Robert Moore of Lyndeborough was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox toward town when he fell asleep at the wheel just over the town line.
The vehicle drifted off the left side of the road, traveled partway up an embankment and tipped onto the passenger side.
Because of the position of the vehicle, Moore required assistance to exit. He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital as a precaution.
The vehicle was towed from the scene. Wilton Road remained open during the response.
