Jaffrey Woman’s Club Education Committee Chair Rody Navickis recently met with 2025 scholarship recipient Jessica Yap to congratulate her on receiving a $2,000 award and to hear about her progress.
Yap is attending the University of New Hampshire in Durham, where she is majoring in mechanical engineering. Her interest in hands-on learning began in high school through robotics, and she sees strong connections between robotics, engineering and her passion for farming. At UNH, she is involved in the Changemaker Fellowship and the Sustainability Club, and is enjoying both the academic opportunities and new friendships.
The Jaffrey Woman’s Club is now accepting applications for its 2026 high school scholarship. The award is open to Jaffrey residents graduating this year who plan to pursue higher education. Applications are available on the documents page of the club’s website or through the Conant Middle-High School Guidance Office. The deadline for submission is the third week of April.
