Peterborough Folk Music Society will present singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins in concert Saturday, July 11, at Bass Hall in the Monadnock Center for History and Culture.

The performance begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. A 30th anniversary video presentation will precede the concert at 6:45 p.m.

Mullins rose to national prominence with his 1998 album Soul’s Core, which featured the Grammy-nominated No. 1 hit “Lullaby.” He later scored another Americana chart-topping single with “Beautiful Wreck.” His song “Shimmer” was featured in promotional coverage of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and appeared on the television soundtrack for Dawson’s Creek.

Opening the show will be singer-songwriter Cat Ridgeway, an Orlando-based musician who has been voted the city’s Best Rock Act and Best Singer/Songwriter for three consecutive years. Since the release of her album Nice to Meet You, Ridgeway has toured with artists including Houndmouth and Amanda Shires and shared stages with performers such as Hozier and Arcade Fire.

Advance tickets are $40 online at pfmsconcerts.org. Tickets purchased on the day of the show are $45 and must be paid by cash or check. Children ages 16 and under receive a $10 discount.
