Peterborough will host Monarch Week from Monday through Thursday, Feb. 23-26, in the foyer of the Peterborough Town Hall. The display will be open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The community installation will feature up to 100 hand-colored monarch butterfly illustrations, created largely by local children, transforming the space into a tribute to the colorful pollinators.

Educational materials will accompany the artwork, highlighting the monarchโ€™s life cycle, migration and environmental challenges. The display is designed to encourage appreciation and stewardship of local wildlife.

Monarch Week is an intern-led initiative developed by Office and Planning & Building intern Alex Laurie, a ConVal High School senior. The project is tied to Laurieโ€™s Wildlife Spotlight Series, which features weekly profiles of local species, including the monarch butterfly.
