Each week, the Jaffrey Public Library hosts Curiosity Club, a group activity featuring kid-friendly experiments centered on science, technology, engineering, art or math.
On Tuesday, Curiosity Club members braved the snow and headed onto the library lawn to create baking soda and vinegar volcanoes. Children built snow mounds for their volcanoes, using plastic cups as craters, which they filled with bubbling vinegar and baking soda โlava.โ Some of the mixtures were dyed red to resemble real lava, while others were colored blue just for fun.
Curiosity Club meets Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. at the Jaffrey Public Library.
