Shelter From The Storm will partner with Revo Casino in Keene for a charitable gaming event running from Jan. 31 through Feb. 9, with proceeds benefiting transitional housing and support programs for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Shelter From The Storm provides transitional shelter through fully furnished apartments, where guests typically stay eight to 12 months while working toward independent living. Guests participate in parenting and financial programs when available, save 30% of their income weekly, apply for subsidized housing and meet regularly with a caseworker.
Funds raised will support housing-related expenses, including rent, heat and utilities, as well as the organization’s automotive assistance program, educational initiatives and operational costs such as staffing and case management.
