Thank you, friends, patients and families

I was recently in Peterborough for the memorial service celebrating the life of Lorraine Walker, an outstanding and amazing woman. During the event, I spent time with friends from my days in New Hampshire. Coincidentally(?), a few days later, an old photograph of me examining a patient appeared in the Ledger-Transcript.

I want to thank the Ledger-Transcript and the many people who sent me copies of that photo. I also want to thank Monadnock Community Hospital, my colleagues at MCH and Monadnock Regional Pediatrics, and the wonderful people of the Monadnock region, for making my many years there so special and meaningful. I am especially grateful to the many patients and families that I had the privilege to serve during those years. You brought me purpose and endless joy. You made me the pediatrician that I am today. Thanks to you, 10 years after leaving Peterborough, I am still having fun practicing part-time at Beacon Pediatrics in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Life is great in Delaware, but nothing can beat the beautiful landscape and the beautiful people of the Monadnock region. Thank you so much for 37 awesome years!
