Music on Norway Pond will present Levyosn, a Yiddish song and klezmer ensemble, on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m. at the Hancock Meetinghouse.

The concert features traditional and original music in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino and English, drawing on Eastern European folk traditions. Levyosn was founded in 2021 and released its debut album,ย โ€œLevyosnโ€™s Lullaby,โ€ on Borscht Beat in 2023.

The ensemble includes Adah Hetko, Lysander Jaffe, Raffi Boden and Lexi Ugelow. Performances often incorporate vocal harmonies along with opportunities for participatory song and dance.

Children are admitted free, along with the accompanying adult. Artistic Director Jody Hill Simpson said, โ€œIf you donโ€™t know klezmer music, come to this concert for an immersive experience. And bring the kids โ€“ theyโ€™ll love the energy, and they get in free, along with the grown-up who brings them.โ€

Tickets are available at musiconnorwaypond.org.
