Wadleigh Memorial Library will feature the work of Nashua-based artist Dominique Boutaud in an exhibition running through Jan. 31 at 49 Nashua St. in Milford. Throughout the library, 49 abstract oil paintings will be displayed, including several never before shown. All works are for sale.

A lecture titled “The Artistic Life” will be held Dec. 18 from 5 to 6 p.m., during which Boutaud will discuss her path from the French Riviera to her training in multiple techniques and how art brings her “hope, serenity, peace and happiness.”

An opening reception will follow from 6 to 7 p.m., offering light refreshments and an opportunity to speak with the artist about the works and her process.
