The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will present โ€œWeaving Music Threads: Baroque Traditions Meet Afro-Latin and Indigenous Rhythms,โ€ featuring the award-winning ensemble Rumbarroco, on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m.

The concert will bring together Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces with Afro-Latin and Indigenous influences, revealing how early European, African and American traditions merged to create a rich musical legacy that continues today. The program highlights Nativity texts and festive villancicos from Spain, Portugal and Latin America, blending the sounds of three continents into one performance.

The Boston-based ensemble is led by Laury Gutiรฉrrez on viola da gamba and features international artists Adriana Ruiz, Daniela Tosic, Fausto Miro, Danilo Bonina, Katherine Shao, Miguel Morales and Grammy Award winner Eduardo Betancourt.
