Franklin Pierce University freshman Andrew White has been appointed the student representative to the Jaffrey-Rindge MLK Committee.
White will help plan the regionโs Martin Luther King Jr. Day events, including a community celebration Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey and a keynote address Sunday, Jan. 25 at Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge.
White, of Hartford, Conn., is a member of the class of 2029 majoring in business management and considering a minor in sports and recreation management. He interns with Franklin Pierceโs Office of Diversity and Inclusion and belongs to the A.L.A.N.A. multicultural club. He plays forward for the Ravens menโs hockey team and plans to join menโs track and field in the spring. Before enrolling at Franklin Pierce, White spent three years playing junior hockey for the Lake Cowichan Kraken in British Columbiaโs Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.
